Larkrise is a sales and training livery yard run by someone I’ll affectionately describe as “properly horsey.” And I mean that as a compliment. My wife is horsey. I’ve spent years around that world. They work relentlessly, they’re passionate, and when things go wrong (which, with horses, they inevitably do), they just get on with it.

That mindset shaped this build.

Horse people aren’t just busy — they’re double busy (yes, full Mickey Flanagan levels of busy). Between early starts, late finishes, training, travelling, and general yard chaos, sitting at a desktop to update a website simply isn’t realistic.

So I built a bespoke horse management system that made adding and updating sales horses quick and painless. The backend was streamlined, image uploads simplified, and everything designed mobile-first so listings could be updated from the yard, a horsebox, or wherever the day happened to be unfolding.

The result? A site that works as hard as the people running it.
